Galway Campaign Against the Household and Water Taxes public meeting Wed 27 June

There will be a Campaign Against the Household and Water Taxes public meeting in Westside Community Resource Centre, Seamus Quirke Road, Galway (beside Library) on Wednesday June 27th at 7.30pm.

This meeting is being called to discuss the response of the campaign against plans by the Minister of the Environment, Phil Hogan to send threatening letters to all those who have not registered for the Household Tax in an act of intimidation designed to force people to pay up. The issue of water charges and a national day of protest as well as the next steps for the campaign will also be discussed. The Dáil’s final sitting is on Wednesday the 18th of July and the protest will be meeting at Central Bank Plaza on Dame Street at 5pm in Dublin city centre and marching to Dáil Éireann.
